Please note:

Much of my work is related to intranets and startup companies that have yet to go public, so much of my recent work isn’t usually available to showcase publicly due to contractual obligations. I’m happy to share some pre-approved information privately and also provide references after an initial meeting.

Plugin Development

I have built numerous custom plugins (and of course themes) for clients, but every once in a while I can push plugins for the general WordPress community based on my work with client projects. I also publish plugins that i created for myself because I saw a need. Please check out one such plugin – BuddySlack – which is available in the WordPress.org plugin repo.

Github

Please also check out my Github account where some projects, including WPArmchair, are currently located. This is where i upload side projects, not client projects for the most part. I push to Github as time permits since most of my time is involved in custom client projects (see above).

FIU

Florida International University Alumni

This official site of FIU was built with a great team at Designhouse agency based out of Miami, with me being the senior WordPress developer of the team and developing the entire backend of the site.

Transcelerate Bio Pharma

Trans Bio Pharma

Completely built from the ground up, this responsive site was built with a great team at Wrecking Ball Media. Several challenges with this site from a development perspective including modifying previous custom built plugins (dealing with users logging in and adding data) and creating custom UI and settings to allow the user to update the client to update unique content throughout the site.

Torah.com

Torah.com

I was the sole developer and designer of this site, which is a landmark site for those in the Jewish online community. Among other features, the site provides ways for the general public to add stories and articles for the site (and in the backend, the client is able to be alerted and moderate such articles). Documentation and one-on-one consulting were involved to ensure the client was able to maintain this site on his own.

Interlinked

Interlinked is a global investment community built on WordPress, heavily relying on the BuddyPress and BuddyPress plugins. This site required extensive modifications for many unique features, including a “deal room” in which registered users can upload documents and share information. The site was not only built, but I continue to support it two years after it’s initial launch.

Citizen Watch

Citizen Watch

The Citizen Watch website involved actually two websites: a WordPress site (with a unique theme for mobile, and a unique theme for non-mobile devices) and a stand-alone PHP website for inventory control. The WordPress pulls inventory from the PHP site and caches it for better performance.

Freaky Rivet

This bootstraped startup provided a great idea, and i’m glad I had the hand in making it a reality. The site is an exclusive and secure members community was built with BuddyPress and for parents and their children to document and share their outdoor/indoor activities with each other. I did the BuddyPress development along with working with the client to provide the best options on a limited timeframe. and budget.

ss4

School For Startups

This members-only community was built with BuddyPress. I came in specifically in early 2013 to help extend and integrate existing functionality, including expanding the individual profile and community areas.

Since the site is members only, these screenshots will have to do. You may reach out to the agency contact directly if you want to learn more.

m1

conferenceme.in

This site was built as a proof of concept (or early Beta) as a BuddyPress theme built especially for a conference. Extensive coding and extending of the BuddyPress Groups to turn them into “sessions” which can hold live/archived video, slides, and photos with integrated BuddyPress functionality (such as activity streams). Other functionality like live blogging, live photo updates, live question submits (and voting), etc. were also introduced. Profile pages expanded to include what sessions were attended and spoken at by the user. Likes and checkins also intergrated.

Again, THIS IS A PROOF OF CONCEPT and is not meant to be a completed and polished site. Please contact me if you have questions or feedback. At this time, I encourage anyone to test and to take it for a test drive.

ollibean

Ollibean

A social community powered by BuddyPress which allows parent and relatives with disabled children share stories, read and save news stories, and upload personalized photo galleries.A customized from scratch design was provided by an agency, and I took it from there.
